Science, Art and Nature Recreation Programs for April School Break

During the school recess in April, Ridgewood Recreation will offer the following programs for students:

SCIENCE ROCKS! ART CAMP WITH ABRAKADOODLE – Grades K-3, Monday and Tuesday, April 9 and 10, 9 a.m. to 12 noon each day, at The Stable, 259 N. Maple Avenue, $100 (includes all materials). Artsy chemists and biologists will stir up some fun making paint and concocting icky, slimy, gooey clay dough, as well as make buggy habitats and a metamorphic picture.

“GREEN KIDS” WORKSHOP – SPRING IN THE GARDEN – Grades 3-5, Tuesday, April 10th, 1 to 3 pm, at The Stable, 259 N. Maple Avenue, $10 fee. Co-sponsored by the Women Gardeners of Ridgewood, participants will learn about this seasonal rebirth, growth and transformation. They will discover the benefits of worms and compost in the soil, while transplanting pansy seedlings (one will be brought home). Also the participants will learn to identify a variety of bird nest and houses while creating “nesting bags” for feathered friends.
