Ridgewood Community School Offers Zumbatomic 1

Ridgewood NJ Feb 23 2012

Zumbatomic, a fun dance/fitness program designed to introduce children to international music and culture and to build a positive self-image through a healthy lifestyle, will be offered to children ages 8-10 through the Ridgewood Community School. Zumbatomic is similar to the adult Zumba program, using Latin and international music and fitness in the choreography and demonstrations of several hand-made musical instruments from around the world. The songs, games and dance steps are age-appropriate and encourage participation.

The goal is to assist in the development of team work, respect, confidence and responsibility, while learning coordination, discipline, memory and creativity. Instructor Mary-Lee Costello will teach the nine-week session at Travell School’s Multi-Purpose Room on Thursdays from 3:30-4:15 p.m., beginning March 8. Cost is $85. To register, contact the Ridgewood Community School at 201- 670-2777 or sign up online at http://register.communitypass.net. Contact the instructor with any questions at 201- 661-0365.
