Maple Sugaring at Tenafly Nature Center 1Learn how to identify a maple tree. Discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the gathering of sap over the centuries. The group will check tapped trees and boil down sap to make fresh, warm maple syrup, a sweet treat for all to taste. Tenafly Nature Center, 313 Hudson Ave., Tenafly, 201-568-6093. 12:30-1:30, 2-3pm. All ages welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult, under 2 free, no strollers please. Sign up for a 3:30 pm nature walk after the program on March 4.
